Microchipping
I am LANTRA approved and qualified to carry out microchipping with Smart Chip. I offer a mobile service or alternatively you can bring your animals to my place of work. From April 2016, it will be a legal requirement to have you dog microchipped in the UK.
What is a microchip?.
This is a tiny glass inert capsule the size of a grain of rice containing a unique identification number linking you and your pet.
Where is your pet microchipped?
The tiny chip is implanted at the back of you pet’s neck in between the shoulder blades. Each pet has a unique identification number and once scanned, can be matched to the address and contact details for that pet on the national database.
Why microchip?
Microchipping your pet will improve the chances of being reunited with your pet should they ever go astray.
How old must your pet be in order to be micro chipped?
Pets should be 8-10 weeks. Small pets – 10-12 weeks.
